Lincoln Park PD: Brooklyn Trio Stole $3,500 In Merchandise From CVS

Three Brooklyn men were being held at the Morris County Correction Facility after taking more than $3,500 in merchandise from a local CVS, said authorities who charged them.

A 9-1-1 caller told police that a trio ran away from the CVS on Boonton Turnpike around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Lincoln Park Police Detective Kevin Fitzpatrick said.

Tevin Green, 25, Danzell Stephenson, 25, and Stephon Smith, 21, were located by police and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy to commit the same. Stephenson was also charged with possession of marijuana, Fitzpatrick said.

The Wayne, Montville, Pequannock and Fairfield police departments, as well as the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in the arrests.

A hearing at Morris County Superior Court is pending.
